Early morning, I actually woke up at 6! ... and the fight...

Soo..... I slept early...woke up at 6AM...
and my mom and dad fought on the table..
while having tea... early morning.. tea
at 6 am..
even the damn sun was sleeping.
a truly WTF? moment.

Anyway, dad was joking about something, mom got upset, dad kept walking 'round the house (like he normally does), mom stayed upset..
ssooo..
I stepped in, spoke to my mom, tried to calm her down.. (yeh, good luck with that.. she was quiet upset,which is really tough to take care of)
Dad kept walking, went and spoke to him.. had a few words...
ANd then he said something....
"Why is she so upset about something so small.... no one ever asks me when I'm upset.."
well, those aren't the exact words.. but .. still..
First, my dad never shows he's upset... in all my life... I've seen him happy, sad, and most often, pissed (at me ) .. but he's never acted upset.
Thats the kind of dad I have, very literally, the Strong silent types (as the cliche' goes)
unforunatly I've found myself growing up that way too..
can't help it, we subconciously learn behaviour from our dads.. right?
You're mom's behaviour marks out patterns for what you believe a woman should behave like, and your dad becomes the cutout for what a man should be.

So... a lot of your dad will always show up in you... and I'm talking way beyond genetics..

So.. aaanyway.... I made my dad talk a bit.. he said that mom should understand he was joking.. (but was pissed at me now)..
Spoke to mom while dad was walking past.. and now that I'd got him pissed, he got into the conversation (perfect timing for me to leave... i'm always good at timing.. ) and I left..
well, thats resolved..

So.. bacha-log.. lesson for the day..
if you need to take the hit for your parents, go ahead.. 'tis better they be pissed at you, then at eachother...
